Technology has really come a long way in the past few years. It seems that there are apps out there for everything you can imagine. And they come out with new ones every single day. I am going to tell you about my favorites that I use.
Google Opinion Rewards
I have used this app to pay for other apps in the Play Store and for movies for my family. The rewards usually run about $0.10 – $1.00.
Sam’s Club Scan & Go
Want to skip the lines on a Saturday at Sam’s Club? You have to use the Scan & Pay app! All your account information and credit card information on one app. Just scan your items before you put them in your cart, slide to pay, and out the door you go. No more waiting in lines! It is such a time saver!
SoundHound
At a bar or club and you really like the song they are playing but don’t know what it is? Just have SoundHound scan it and it will tell you what the song is and can even save it to your Spotify playlist. On a cruise with no signal….it will even save a history of your scans and can check them when you are
OvuView
My husband and I practice NFP (Natural Family Planning). The app OvuView makes it very easy for us to keep track of my temperatures in the morning with its notifications. It also can download all of my stats to use whenever I have a doctor visit.
Google Keep Notes
Need to plan a celebration, make a grocery list, or keep track of your children’s sizes? Use Google Keep Notes. it is like Post-It-Notes for your phone. It saves to your Google account so you can see your notes from any device.
Rakuten
I used this for the first time this past Christmas. I thought, “Why not give it a try. Maybe I can make a couple of bucks Christmas shopping.” Little did I know the savings and the money I was making using this app. I actually received a check for $71.28! It’s a great way to get a little something back just by shopping for your family.
Miles
Miles was an app that was new to me this year. To be honest I was looking for some easy way to make a few bucks here and there without a whole lot of effort. Miles is an app that gives you points towards gift cards just by commuting during your daily life. If you use public transportation, ride your bike, or walk, the more points you get. If you drive anywhere on your own, you get fewer points. Then you can exchange those points for gift cards to restaurants, discounts to subscription services, and more.
Textra
Textra is my go-to app for texting. The app is totally customizable. You can customize the colors, notifications, quick composing, and can blacklist messages. My favorite setting is I can choose a delay as to how long to wait before the message is sent. I have a send delay of three seconds just so I have time to change the message or who the message is being sent to before it leaves my phone.
Easy Silencer
I used to have the app Shhh! to silence my phone easily for a period of time. Now that app is unavailable and I had to find a replacement. I found Easy Silencer and love how easy it is to use. Once you launch the app, you have different options on how long to silence your phone. You have 15, 30, and 60 minutes to choose from. Tap on the number as many times you need to silence your phone. You can even program when to silence your phone and for how long.
Safe Travel
I use the SD DOT Safe Travel app several times during the winter in South Dakota. With me traveling 20 miles one way to my school it is a very useful tool to help me decide if I need to leave earlier because the roads are treacherous. There are many different road conditions apps in the Play Store. You may have to search for your state to find one.
What are some apps that you use to get you through the day? Please comment on this post.
